So my company sent me to work east of my 'hood, in Arlington Heights. At about 1pm I had the option of taking off or sticking around for another two hours. Most days, I'd stick around and work, but I was feeling a bit hangry as I wasn't given a break or lunch during my shift so I decided to leave and go on a sort of food adventure. As I'm not usually around these parts during the lunch hour on a weekday, I browsed Yelp for some helpful options and lo and behold, this place popped up on my screen, and they happen to be BYOB too. Day drinking on a Monday? Too bad I forgot to walk to the liquor store at the other end of parking lot. A tasty dobbelbock sounded really good...But anyways... A quick glance at the lunch special menu and I knew what I wanted within 30 seconds. Beef pad see ewe spicy, which comes with a side of plain fried rice(what?) and a side of no meat pad thai(double what??) and an egg roll and a single chicken satay(triple and quadruple what????). My only issue is this: I'm a last bite of the candy bar kind of person. See, in my worldview, there are two types of people; first bite of the candy bar people, and last bite of the candy bar people. The first bite people REALLY enjoy the first bite of things, such as candy bars, or the first lick of the ice cream cone, etc. Get my drift? So these people, if given a variety of items, will typically tend to eat what they deem to be the absolute best part of their meal first, so that said item can get into their mouth and be peristalsed into their belly that much faster. When it comes to candy bars, ice cream, it's truly f*cked up to take the first bite, or lick the cone first. To get that first forkful of pasta off their plate. Truly wrong. They won't mind if you want to eat the last bits of their goodies. Then there are the last bite people, like me. We save the best for last. Even if that means we might potentially be too full to get to the last part, we'll power through and juggernaut our way to button-popping satisfaction, to get to the oasis that is the last bite. Go ahead and try my food first. Just don't ask me if you can taste it when I only have one bite left. That is grounds for a crane kick a la Daniel san. Because I'm a last bite dude, I had to eat everything on my lunch plate until I got to the goods. So I started with the chicken satay, which comes on a short skewer, and accompanied by a tiny glass ramekin of peanut sauce. As you eat the chicken off the skewer it gets harder and harder to dip it into the sauce as you work your way down to skewer. Just fork the chicken off of there to begin, your life will then be easier. Chicken is delicious, peanut sauce yum. And rice always goes well with meaty stuff. The egg roll was pretty good for a veggie egg roll. I know some people who can't stand a vegetable egg roll. My family makes mostly veggie egg rolls, so this was right up memory lane for me. Filled with cabbage and carrot, the only thing missing from my family recipe is bean sprouts and shaved green beans. Thai Little Home uses the wonton style egg roll wrapper that gets bubbly as it fries, I love those as opposed to the paper thin wrappers that don't bubble up and tend to soak up a lot of oil. The sauce that went with the egg roll was thin and sweet. In the center of my plate was a tiny bit of cucumber salad. Just the right size to be used as a palate cleanser for my 4 course lunch special. And then there was one left, the pad see ewe. By now I was satiated to the point of almost fullness. But the sweet and slightly pan charred aroma of noodles and beef were calling me to danger like a siren to a sailor. I dug in and never looked back. Perfectly cooked noodles and balanced flavors, not overly sweet as some see ewes I've had in the past. The beef was cooked through, moist, and not lacking as far as amount goes. I cleaned my plate, and didn't have room for anything else. And it all went down for the low low price of $7.99. It's probably a good thing I didn't bring anything to imbibe, because I really wouldn't have had room for it. But I will be back here, lunch or dinner. BYOB is good with all meals. If you need to fill up on $10/person incl. tip for lunch, Thai Little Home Café is your home away from home.

Entrees have good taste, but smaller quantity than usual. Otherwise good food if you are in the direct vicinity but I would go out of my way to dine here.

I'm a regular here and everything is always delicous and the staff is always super friendly. The food is exceptional and I'm hard pressed to find a Thai restauarant just as good anywhere else. I will warn you that it gets packed on saturday nights. Highly recommended restauarant

We recently moved to the area and I had a hankering for chinese. I yelped the area and came across this gem. My fiance says he does not like thai...well thank God he had a change of mind. Upon walking in, we were seated right away. The restaurant is small but clean and good lighting. We were brought water and a carafe right away and menus. My fiance had the vegetables with beef lunch special. He said it could have had more beef, but was tasty. I had the garlic chicken lunch special. YUMMY. The chicken was tender and just the right amount of garlic. Lunch special comes with an egg roll(greasy but good), chicken satay with a yummy peanut sauce, rice and pad thai with no meat. Portions were big... and I'm not sure how anyone could called it anything else other than that. Two lunch specials and the bill was $15!! :-D Next time I go back, I'm getting the pad Thai with chicken. .no doubt.

I'm starting this off with an admission to what you may already know about my Mother. I love hanging out with her! Just because some of our moments are captured on Yelp and she's mentioned in the reviews, it doesn't mean we get along the entire time we're together. Now that I'm thinking about it, a conflict ensues when she becomes hungry and asks me where I want to eat. Today, I wanted Fried Rice; but, my mom didn't want Chinese food as soon as she called Chef Ping to place an order and found out the restaurant is closed on Mondays. Both of us agreeing with Thai for lunch was too good to be true. She showed me a menu from a place she recently tried with her boyfriend and I wasn't impressed. It took my finesse and this app for her to cooperate with me. Yelp provided over one hundred reviews but it was someone's photo of their Shrimp Pad Nar that won me over. I don't even know how many times I skipped over this place because of its curious name. Now, Thai Little Home has us wanting more! Fast and friendly service (even when calling ahead for pick up). Awesome flavors. No MSG. Easy on the Soy sauce. Perfection! Decent portions for sharing (or not). Reasonable prices and conveniently close to my Mom's...

The owners of this restaurant received 5 stars for their attentiveness and friendliness; however, I could not rate the food the same way. Im a sucker for good crab rangoon, so I order that plus the spicy chicken lunch special, which was ambitious. I knew they had larger portions with cheap prices, but I can eat a lot. Anyways, it was good, but not the best I've ever had. With that being said, I still ate most of my meal only taking home a little box. The crab rangoons were small and crispy. I feel like they could have added more cream cheese/ crab filling. The egg role in the lunch special was bomb, but everything else was pretty average. My spicy chicken was not spicy at all. I think they didn't put the sauce on it? Pro tip: Use the spoon they give you for the Pad Thai. I know some people are probably rolling their eyes at how obvious this suggestion is, but they cut the noodles up into tiny pieces which makes it hard to manage with a fork alone. I would recommend coming here, but don't hype it up too much to friends or colleagues.

I first visited this place on my first day of work. The food here is close to authentic as you can find in the area. They have really good lunch specials which are served with an egg roll, chicken satay, pad thai(no meat) and fried rice(no meat) all for $7.25 There is ample seating space and the service is quick. The place is SO unassuming as it looked like it was empty from the outside. I visited on a Thursday and the place was full of visitors eating their delicious food. I'm pretty surprised that the area doesn't have more Quality Thai restaurants but this place definitely fits the bill. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a somewhat authentic Thai restaurant in the Arlington Hts / Schaumburg area.

This place caught our eye looking for a lunch spot on a Friday afternoon. Good choice. First - the place is very clean and is not configured to pack people on top of each other just to get an extra table in. The $7.50 lunch plate brings you a huge amount of food. I had the Beef Mixed Vegetable and everything was very fresh and there was a nice plate presentation. Egg roll was crispy and decent, the Beef was tender and tasty, the pad Thai was good and the peanut sauce was excellent. I tasted the fiance's garlic chicken and that was great.

Good food! Nice place, very neat and very friendly service. Had no expectations but the food will definitely make you happy.

My wife and I went for takeout and we were pleasantly suprised. It was very good. We like everything spicy and the spice was hot and had good flavor. The only reason I give it 4 and not 5 stars is the portions were smaller then I thought they should be.

    (4)
  • Sakif F.

Watery curry, noodles that smell of old oil, and smaller than average portions. Mostly just tastes like the disappointment it is.

Dined here with a colleague during a couple days of corporate training. Picked it based on the Yelp reviews. We ordered a mussels appetizer - it was my colleagues first time having mussels. They were in a flavorful broth, but some of them were gritty so meh. Also ordered a chicken satay app - that was delicious. Perfectly cooked chicken with a succulent peanut sauce. For dinner we ordered the same dish prepared with two different meats - this is where it gets weird. So I am sitting there devouring my dinner and I notice that my colleague doesn't appear to be enjoying his. I asked him about it and he said it was not great - since I loved mine, I wondered if it was him or me. Turns out that even though they were the same dish, mine was WAY better. I am not sure how the beef or chicken affected this, but its like we were eating two different things. The service was abysmally slow, I think due to the fact that they had a large birthday party. There are other places I would try before I return here.

  • Lauren B.

Love this place. Great service for sit down and you can BYOB!! I had my birthday party here 2 years in a row very delicious and affordable. My favorite is the pad se ew, but the pad Thai is delicious as well as the curry dishes. 5 stars!

After reading all these positive reviews... I was waaay psyched to try this place on a long commute home. One of these days... as a reward for being patient in this ridic traffic... Today was the day... And WTF??? People... called ahead to take my standby Thai favorites... Baseline assessment by Beef Pad Siew and Chicken Pad Khee Mao (sans onions). Bagged with no sauces menus or fortune cookies can be forgiven... I could have asked for the vinegar jalapeño stuff... but it was a flag... hot food in clear plastic containers suitable for salad... usually hot food would melt these? Okay... to the food. Was this leftovers? The noodles were tepid, overcooked to the point of mush and super oily. NO flavor at all... for EITHER dish. Wow... the proteins tasted like oil too. Verdict? BLAAHH....AND.... Bland....Never again. Waste of $20. Maybe they have a different cook at lunchtime or something?!!

The food is excellent, and the service is fast. There's not much more you can ask from a restaurant. I recommend coming here for the lunch special from 11 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday (the restaurant is closed on Wednesdays, though). You'll get a lot for $7.25 (There's a $2 upcharge for a dish with shrimp or squid). With your choice of Pad Khee Mao, Pad See Ewe, a Thai Basil dish with your choice of meat or tofu, a red curry dish with your choice of meat or tofu, plus four other dishes, you can't go wrong. Each lunch special comes with an egg roll, chicken satay, Pad Thai (meatless), and fried rice (meatless). I typically get the Beef Pad See Ewe, which is always good. In particular, I like how the dish has the perfect balance of noodles, meat, and Chinese broccoli. As for the restaurant's other offerings, we enjoy the shrimp toast and the Thai calamari. The individual pieces of toast and calamari are big. Both dishes have a nice batter on them. I particularly like the Thai calamari's delicate batter, which allows the calamari to largely stand on its own. The service here is fast, and you'll get the attention you need even if there are lots of diners. You shouldn't have a problem finding seating here either. Just walk right in - no fuss. Thai Little Home comes highly recommended!

I love Thai Little Home! It's a family restaurant! And the best thing is the FOOD!!! Everything is fresh, tasty, flavorful and very well prepared. The appetizers are Bomb! The entries are filling and good portions! We do a family style setting; and get to taste a little bit of everything! It's BYOB! You get the chance to pair your favorite wine with excellent food! The serves are very attentive and accommodating! We have follow them since they had the location on Lawrence and kedzie; and we go all the way to Arlington heights from Chicago just to have a good time and to have Thai food! Love it!

This review is just for the Pad Thai I had. Price, portion size, and taste are what's wrong with the Pad Thai. It was almost $10 which is a little high for some Pad Thai. You get a small container of it which contained very little beef. The worst part of it was when I looked at it, the noodles were almost as white as the fresh cabbage they have included. I knew right then and there that it was going to be very bland and I was right. It was still bland even after using some of the soy sauce that they have included. Huge disappointment.

Went here for lunch on two occasions this past week. Both times I ordered from their lunch special menu. Both times the food was consistent and the portion was huge enough that I couldn't even finish it. The fact I liked the most is that the food seemed 'clean'...meaning I was convinced that they properly washed and prepped the food before cooking it unlike some other Asian restaurants I have been to in past where the chicken would smell like old rags. Their service is also amazing....perfect in my mind. The morning server is really quite but extremely observant. As soon as you enter the door, she will be waiting with the menus and as soon as you wipe your hands with the napkin after your meal, she will be ready with your check. She does everything in extreme stealth mode and doesn't always hover over you for the type of service she provides. She should be truly rewarded because in my mind a good server is not someone who can chat up a storm but someone who is attentive, quick and effective. So full points on that. I also don't agree with any one star reviews. One star should be reserved for a place that is horrible in all aspects and doesn't even try to improve. You can't possibly give a small business one star because your one item wasn't up to your standards based on just one visit. It could mean a death sentence for them when they are just trying to do their best. And by no means this restaurant is so bad that it deserves such a low rating....that's just my opinion. Con's: Noodles were over cooked, super soft and way too oily, order Basil or Cashew instead if you'd like to avoid noodles or give it try, maybe they have improved it already. Pro's Clean Huge portions Consistent food Cheap Awesome service Balanced lunch special Awesome chicken and pad Thai Will be back next week to try something new. Thanks.

Was thrilled to find this nice family owned restaurant. The prices are excellent (most entrees are 8.95) and everything was freshly prepared. We tried the penang curry, red curry and the pad khee Mao noodles. We liked them all very much. I was pleased to see the panang curry was light and with a great marriage of flavors not the gloopy mess that you get so many places. Additionally I was pleased that it was immaculately clean. Not the most update furnishings but clean wins every time. BYOB is a plus

So my company sent me to work east of my 'hood, in Arlington Heights. At about 1pm I had the option of taking off or sticking around for another two hours. When visiting Chicago, I came here with a group of friends and enjoyed a great meal! We tried so many dishes, but my favorites were definitely the spicy & sour seafood soup, whole fish with chillies, red curry, and pad thai! Everything was so delicious, had a ton of flavor, and the portions are extremely generous. The seafood in the soup was so fresh, and the shrimp were huge. I wish I lived in the area so I could go back! They also have these little banana desert rolls, that are lightly fried and dusted with sugar. Those on top of their homemade coconut ice cream was a perfect finish to the meal. Best Thai food I've ever had. Definitely recommend going there!

I went to Thai Little Home Cafe for a quick lunch yesterday. Loved it! I wish I saw Candice's review before I went. BYOB is the bestest! Duly noted for next time. Thai Little Home Cafe is tucked away in this rundown strip mall but is nice on the inside - nicer than what you'd think you would find here. We went in with the intentions of having a very fast lunch to make a movie and it happened just as we needed to. We ordered, the food came out really quickly and they were fast about bringing our bill and running our card. Plus they were on top of refilling our drinks through the meal. I ordered the Chicken Pad See Ewe and loved it! It was a big portion for a good price. The chicken was super moist and cooked just the right amount. The noodles in the dish were great. Overall, loved what I ate! I want to go back for lunch because they have some good prices on specials! And come back, I shall!

Thai Little Home is a must if you live in the greater Chicago area. Family owned and operated, with an atmosphere that is very warm and inviting. You must try the whole fried red snapper-- so good! The tom yum soup is also really flavorful and hits the spot. Red curry is a favorite of mine, and the lad na and chicken egg noodle dishes are also great. I have not had a bad thing here, you really can't go wrong. Yum!

Absolutely amazing. EVERYTHING is handmade from the crab rangoon, to the sauces, to the coconut ice cream (all mom's recipes)!!!! This family owned, BYOB joint will make you crave Thai food all the time. Get the lunch special during the week to get great deals on a huge Thai sampler plate. The curry soup and spicy basil with chicken dish are both incredible. I even saw kids who loved this place. Cannot wait to return!!!!

A loyal and repeat customer of this establishment. My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for decades since it was originally established in Chicago and still continue to make the trip out to the suburbs to eat at the new location. From the moment you walk in you can see the numerous newspaper and food articles that rave about the food. This place has been a big part of Chicago's Thai food community since the 70's! Way before the whole Thai food craze began and still family owned and continues to put out authentic and excellent Thai dishes. I'm sure there are a bunch of the older generation folks who, if they knew what yelp was or how to use it, wouldn't hesitate to give this place 5 stars. There is something for everyone at this place. 1. If you are dining on a budget, all the menu items are cheap and, in my opinion, under priced for the high quality and large portions you get. (no that wasn't a typo, you seriously get more than your money's worth) 2. They offer a variety of freshly prepared and tasty Thai dishes from the classic and well known Pad-Thai to uncommon dishes like Larb-Kai and other spicy salads. My favorites are the Red Snapper with the house special sauce and the Chicken-egg noodles. 3. If no. 1 applies to you and you enjoy alcohol, then here is another reason to go to this place, it's BYOB and located in the same strip mall as a liquor store! lastly, service is always top notch. The wait staff is always attentive and the owners love engaging with the customers and taking time out to talk and make relationships. Go here for either lunch, dinner or take out and you are sure to get a great dining experience!

I recently moved from Park Ridge to Arlington Heights and was searching for a good Thai food nearby. I decided to try this place because of all the positive reviews on Yelp! I was greatly disappointed. To be fair, I am a very tough critic when it comes to Thai food since I have traveled to Thailand so many times and tried all kind of things while I was there. I ordered chicken and pork satay, crab rangoon, lad na noodle and chicken fried rice. The satay could use a longer marinating time or cut the meat thinner I suppose. It was pretty tasteless. The peanut sauce was ok, I prefer my with a little kick of red curry. Crab rangoon was very disappointing. Barely any filling and overcooked. My kids look at it and was like "is this crab rangoon or fried wonton?" It was dark brown and less than a dime size stuffing. Lad na noodle was not edible. I ended up throwing it out because it was way too salty. The sauce was also runny like soup, not like the traditional lad na gravy sauce. It also didn't fill up the to go container all the way. It looks like leftover just like someone else already said on here. Also, no vinegar with pepper to go with my lad na noodle. The fried rice was ok. Kids ate it but could use some vegetables in it. The 2 slices of cucumber was a joke. The fried rice was more like chinese fried rice, not thai fried rice. Also, did not fill up the container completely. No lime. Thai fried rice with no lime? I paid almost $40 for food and probably will have to pay another $40 for the dry cleaning. I left smelling like the kitchen. The smell stick to my coat. They need to fix the hood because the smell is leaking out into the dining area. I guess the further you are from the city, the worse thai food gets. I'll stick with my 2 favorite places in Niles and Morton Grove from now on.

So glad I found this place after it closed in Chicago. I grew up eating at this place so they set my standard for Thai food. Family owned and the nicest friendliest people ever. And their shrimp fried rice is perfect. Along with their chicken satay, and fish cakes!

The staff were friendly but had very little personality. The place was empty @ 7pm on a Tuesday night. Had the wonton soup and yellow curry chicken. I would give the wonton soup 3 out of 10. The yellow chicken curry 8 out of 10. Would I come back, no !!!

The food here is great. The lunch portions (around seven bucks) are huge and includes a egg roll, pad thai, fried rice, satay and your choice of protein. I have been to a number of thai places in the area but I feel I can get a great value here and the staff is very friendly. I usually take my co-workers here whenever I am going out to lunch.

Absolutely love this place and love that it's BYOB. The tom kha soup is phenomenal, and the curries are also really good. But I've had a lot of other things on the menu and I actually haven't had anything here I didn't like. It's all good. The service is always great as well, the staff are really nice here.

CLOSED FOR VACATION returning March 25, 2015. FYI the family is on vacation and is closed right now. Amazing food though when open. Loved the red curry and drunken noodles. Definitely going back.

8pm Tuesday night. I am the only patron in the restaurant. Service should be really good I hope. Starting with the Tom Yum Kai soup. It is coconut milk based which has a unique taste. I did not find it spicy. I did kick it up a notch with chili sauce. Chicken and mushrooms were very satisfying. Large enough to share. Temperature was almost perfect, I am not a fan of Luke warm soup. Would have been perfect on a really cold night. I ate maybe half of the soup. Next was an eggplant dish with beef. Advertised as a spicy dish, I found it tame but very tasty. The beef was just a bit chewy, but when eaten with the eggplant and julienned carrots, it was a wonderful explosion of tastes. The serving size was just right, not overwhelming. Especially after the soup. Even though I was the only person in the restaurant, the rice was perfect. Not mushy at all so it had to have been pretty freshly made. That is a big deal. Not entirely done, probably over did it with the homemade coconut ice cream. It was the only thing that was just okay. All for $18.69 plus tip. Worth every penny. You don't have to spend a fortune to have an enjoyable meal. Once again the yelp community was right on. Thank you. I travel a lot and depend on your comments.

Appropriately priced. Average service. Food came out with appropriate timing. Ordered a Pad Thai with chicken ($8.95 for dinner) and the bf ordered Basil Leaf entree with beef. The Pad Thai was just average. To be honest, it looked lighter in color than most pad thai that I've ordered, but I can't say that it took away from the flavor. It really seemed to be just noodles, eggs and chicken. Other places I've gone too usually add some spice and some green onions and stuff. Bottom line: it satisfied my craving for Thai food, but I might try other places next time.

They can get 4 stars just for the fresh made fish cake. It's full of taste of fish, not frozen ones. Fried rice was good as well. It's not a Wow restaurant. But with the price I think they do a pretty good job. I am not Thai so I would not know if food is authentic or not.

I don't know why the reviews are so good. My wife and i had two different dishes and they both are pathetic. Red curry tofu and curry chicken fried rice. If reviews are good meaning at least one should be good right?

It was a Sunday, and we were looking for a decent Thai restaurant near the area, and found this place. Overall, the visit was unremarkable. First off, the service while fast, it was delivered with no enthusiasm or an ounce of friendliness. We ordered tom yum seafood soup, pad see ew, and basil fried rice. While everything was okay tasting, nothing really stood out as different or better than its tens of other competitors in the area. My search for authentic and thai would continue...

Maybe i ordered the wrong dish (quite possibly) but it wasn't very tasty. I ordered the chicken pad thai..yes I know that's not true, authentic Thai, but I like trying it at every Thai restaurant just to compare. The dish was very light colored and tasted like peanut noodles. I wouldn't say it was bad per se but I wasn't satisfied after the meal was over. Maybe I just need to try something else if I were to return?

Great restaurant - we went there last Friday and everything we had was very good! We had the Thai Calamari which was perfectly cooked and tender - so many places overcook it and it turns into a texture similar to rubber bands. For entrees we had Pad Thai (tofu), Pad Woonsen (Squid) and Panang Curry (Vegetables/Tofu). The Pad Thai was one of the best I have ever had - a good balance between sweet/savory. The Pad Woonsen was also very good and again, the squid was cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, while I liked the flavor of the Panang Curry, the consistency of the sauce fell short of expectations. It was a both consistency - it did not adhere to the rice or the other ingredients at all which, for me, is a big negative. I love the sauce so much and want to eat it all, not leave it in a puddle on the plate. Another nice plus is that they are BYOB They were very welcoming of it and brought out wine glasses and opener as soon as we sat down. We'll be back - the Deep Fried Red Snapper looked excellent - there were at least three other tables that had ordered it while we were there!

BYOB. BYOB. BYOB. ABC's of Thai Little Home Cafe's Awesomeness. A. Affordable. B. BYOB. BYOB. BYOB. (in case you missed it the first time around) C. Charming (and really, with enough BYOB supplies, what isn't?) and the Cutest restaurant name ever, and Cost effective (so Cheap!) D. Delicious E. Exotic F. Fast (Holy Crap- this was lightning speed) and Family owned + operated ...alright, imma be honest: I don't feel like finding an adjective for every letter of the alphabet just to be cute so I'm gonna go ahead and skip to my favorite reason (after BYOB) . S. SPICY!!! Finally, a Thai food venue that understands when a hot blooded woman says she wants it extra spicy, she frickin' means it. And I like the type of spicy their food is... it's both hot pepper spicy and black pepper spicy. Aaand they earned extra bonus points for having that spicy stuff right on the table for additional DIY spicing. End Alphabet. Sure there are lots more reasons I love Thai Little Home Cafe but really, if I didn't have you by 'BYOB' I probably wasn't going to win you over with 'C' through 'Z', anyway. My personal menu recos- Spicy Basil Leaves w/ Tofu and the spring rolls. The atmosphere isn't going to put you over the top but the food is good, the portions are large, the prices are low and I swear to you, my leftovers tasted even better the next day- So Delish!

Huge lunch special portions but poor quality food. Very bland and barely middle of the road when it comes to Thai cuisine.

Best Thai food to date. Nice setting, staff was good and the food was amazing. I went for a work lunch & I will definitely be back soon. Amazing food must try.

Yummy Thai spot convenient to so much in this area of town. I was in town on business, needed carry-out, and was in the mood for something spicy. The service was friendly, the wait wasn't too long (just long enough for them to make my food after I ordered it), and the prices were right. Everything I ordered was fresh, tasty and hit the spot: - Crab rangoon - super crispy! - Tom Yum Kai soup - sweet, bitter, salty, well balanced, and was perfect on a cold night - Lard nar - don't let the word "gravy" food you - this dish is filling and delicious Will return next time I'm back in town for work.

Came here on Friday night with my friends and hubby and had such an awesome time!!! The place was quite spacious and cozy and reminded me of a cafe that we ate at in Phuket a few years back. The service was spot on, everything was brought out pretty fast and hot just the way we like it. Onto the important part, the Thai goods. We started with some Thai egg rolls which were very fresh and delicious. Crunchy outer edge the way it needs to be. Then we got the crab ragoons, which were served smaller than we are used to but also delicious. Then again, we did get like 10 little ones as opposed to 5-6 big ones that I'm used to, so overall you get your money's worth. Then we got a few pad Thai's to share and they were light colored like a few people have mentioned, but also tasty. I'm very picky on my pad Thai so I don't know if I would get it here again, but then again it was still okay. I've just definitely had better. Now onto the best dish of the night, the pan fried red snapper with jalapeno peppers. OH MY is all I have to say, it was outstanding. Super spicy, super fresh, with like a sweet edge on the crust, it was just out of this world amazing. The place without the fish would be like a 3 star but that fish alone takes it up a notch. I will definitely be back and will bring more friends and family here and get like 5 fish orders. Wish it was a tad closer to my house, but will make the trip on a cold winter night. Oh and one more thing, it is BYOB which make it even more amazing!

Great lunch specials, but unfortunately the chicken is very rubbery. Ordered take out today(Basil chicken) and was not happy with the dish. The chicken was inedible.

I went here for lunch the other day based on the Yelp reviews I saw. Being from CA, I have had my fair share of Thai food, so I decided to come here. Décor: 5 star -nice & casual. Some nice Thai inspired pieces- Service: 5 stars- waitress was attentive and kept an eye out on us. We did go later in the afternoon after the lunch hour. Food: 3 star. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. We started with some Thai eggrolls which were freshly fried but dripping in oil. I got the red curry with chicken lunch special. There was a lot of food; an eggroll, chicken satay, red curry, fried rice, cucumber salad and some pad thai all for around $7 or so. The cucumber salad was nice and refreshing but other than that nothing stood out.

Generous lunch specials! Service- The service was amazing. It's so refreshing to have things taken off the table or your drinks refilled without even asking! Food- I started off the crab rangoons. Delish. They were light and crispy. I then had the lunch special. On the "platter" you get an 1 egg roll, 1 chicken satay, plain fried rice, plain pad thai, cucumber & onion salad, and your item of choice! I had the beef pad see ew. Very good. It is an enormous amount of food for the money but who would complain about that? Not me :) My only issue was that some of the bigger pieces of beef were a little pink inside but otherwise everything was tasty. I would definitely go back again!

Plenty of parking in this strip mall but do not let that fool you. This place will get busy quickly during prime hours. The ambiance is light, bright, refreshing, and clean with minimal decor but still definitely Thai. The owner is usually the host and there to greet you with a warm and friendly welcome. There is a liquor store two doors down in case you forget to BYOB. I have eaten many a Thai dish and this place is right on par with the best of them and for the money it's one of my local favorite places. Their spicy is spicy. Mild is mild. Everything is full of flavor and steaming hot. They can handle big parties, too. Line the tables in a row and take over the whole joint.

refreshing! I haven't found any new good thai places in a while, so I was pleased coming here. Went with family for lunch, and pretty much everything across the board was good! pad thai- on the lighter side. they use more of a sweet chili sauce than the peanut sauce red curry and panang curry - acceptable, but pretty heavy on the peanut sauce-- i prefer my curry sweeter with more coconut milk, and this was more thick and chunky than milky. squid salad- a new try, and i liked it! squid cooked perfectly, chicken satay - standard pad see ewe- light on the veggies, but also good. I think this place is good because it's on the lighter side, not too greasy. standard fare without any disappointments. definitely a good go-to for thai in the area.

I recently moved to Chicago and absolutely love this spot when I'm craving Thai food! My favorites are the sweet and sour whole red snapper, the seafood soup and the cashew chicken. Although I've tried a lot of other items and never been disappointed! The fried bananas are also delicious for dessert. Lunch specials are a great value as well. A great family-owned, local spot. Highly recommend!!

Wow, first time Yelp post writer, but it was just that good! The food was incredible, probably some of the best pad thai I have ever had. I almost always get pad thai, so I consider myself an expert:) My friends all ordered difference dishes like the whole fish, tom yum soup, and the red curry and they all loved it. The portions were large, service was quick, staff was friendly-- I'll definitely be going back soon!

Came here last night before a show at the Metropolitan Performing Arts Center in Arlington Heights... only a 6 minute drive away! Serendipitously convenient! I have to be honest, though, I'm not sure it quite lived up to its reviews. My brother ordered some pot stickers that he thought were dried out (my dad seemed to agree), and my mom was disappointed with her chicken panang curry, saying it was very one-note and lamented the lack of vegetables. My dad ordered their iced coffee with condensed milk, and found it too sweet-- though I think both of my parents take the blame upon themselves for ordering things they didn't know very much about. However, I really enjoyed my vegetables red curry entree with tofu. It's definitely spicy, but also has quite a few vegetables in it (unlike most of their entrees!) My brother liked his chicken satay and pork fried rice, my dad liked his pad thai, and my mom really liked the tom ka kai soup with chicken that she ordered. Anything with meat comes with a full animal's worth, which is definitely a good thing value-wise, but doesn't do much for balanced dishes. One other thing-- we had to flag our waiter down quite a lot, certainly more than was warranted by the mostly-empty Thursday night dining room. Overall, I definitely enjoyed my food, and it really was a great value, and they serve coke products! But it was nothing outstanding, like so many of these reviews seem to claim.

So glad we finally found this place!! After our favorite Thai restaurant closed a couple years ago, we were unable to find a place even half as good. This was the last place we tried on our Thai quest. We ordered the thai calamari, chicken tom yum soup, spicy fried rice, pad thai, and basil chicken. Everything was delicious and so flavorful! We have a new favorite Thai restaurant:)

BYOB! I've been wanting to try this place since I spotted Candice G's BYOB flag, and we are INSTANT fans. This is a lunch review but most dinners looked VERY reasonable at around $8-11. Eight lunch $7.25 specials all served with (1) egg roll, chicken satay, Pad Thai, and fried rice (no meat, no egg, no nada-you might want to skip this). When I looked at the menu online I thought you had to PICK between, the Chicken Satay, Pad Thai and fried rice, NOPE you get all three and my plate was full (again consider skipping the nekid fried rice and maybe you'll get MORE of something else;) I should have asked for a lime slice for the pad Thai, I missed that but otherwise it was perfectly done, and FAST which I wasn't expecting. I went with the Pad Khee Mao Noodles with pork and it was delicious, could have been a lot hotter for my tastes and maybe a little light on the basil. I still haven't gotten used to Jalapenos instead of the small Thai or Chinese dried reds burnt a little that you don't get here like Alt Thai. I have been quoted b4 that if they are using Jalapenos it is NOT a Thai restaurant, but I like the Thai Little Home Cafe so I guess I have just become a chili pepper snob. I took half the lunch home, minus the EXCELLENT egg roll to my less spicy lunch adventurous partner. Really basic strip mall front, but nicely decorated, quiet and spotless inside About 1/4 mile East of Arlington Heights road on Golf. There is a TV droning quietly in one corner, but it was a far away corner. No internet. One tea bag in a pot was $1, that's too bad but we will be back soon for dinner with something wet and red and skip the tea. BYOB! Try it.

Excellent food! We've only tried it take out but since we moved around here we've been picking it up every week! The dining room does well too, always a good sign. Only takes 15-20 minutes. My favorite dishes so far are the Pad Se Ewe, Rice Noodles with egg, Chicken Satay.

Best Thai Food I have ever had. Family has been coming to this place for over 40 years! (it used to be in the northside on Kedzie). Love this place, you will never be disappointed. I love their chicken satay, chicken fried rice, and spicy red snapper! I've been to many Thai restaurants and I have to say hands down..this is the best one!!

  • Grace S.

I don't get it. Yes, this place is cheap, but the food is not great. I ordered the pad see ewe lunch special, and it came with lots of other food (pad thai, egg roll, chicken satay, fried rice, cucumbers). I was impressed with the amount of food they gave, but much less impressed with the actual taste. The pad thai was very dry and looked/tasted like an instant pad thai dish I had made in the microwave before. I was too full to eat my chicken satay, so I can't comment on that. Everything else was just okay. Again, yes it is cheap, but I think I'd rather pay more somewhere else and get better Thai food.

I love Thai food and the low prices were very enticing but I did not like the food at this place. We ordered the fresh spring rolls while we waited for our takeout order. Two really long spring rolls were delivered to our table within a couple minutes. They were cut into bite sized pieces like a sushi roll and the syrupy sauce was poured on top. The first bite was surprisingly and uncharacteristically warm, nay, hot! So I recalibrated my expectations for a hot appetizer assuming they had just made it without time to chill. The sauce was sweet, the soft wrap was good but the stuff inside was not. Plain tofu, plain scrambled eggs and plain noodles. No flavor and very spongey. I was starving so I kept eating anyway. After 2 more bites down the line, the roll was lukewarm and then refrigeratedly cold, revealing that the roll must have been microwaved for some reason and very unevenly at that. I wouldn't be surprised if it had been in the freezer. Yuck. We left about half of it on the table. Our takeout order included the potstickers, vegetable red curry with tofu and the Pad Khee Mao with chicken. I liked that the potstickers were made with chicken instead of pork. They were served with a "spicy vinegar-soy sauce" which was not spicy and very vinegary. The red curry was the worst I've ever had. The sauce was watery thin and painfully lacking that yummy rich curry flavor and not a single leaf of Thai basil to be found. The Pad Khee Mao noodles were very mushy and the prominent ingredient in this dish was oil. No real tasty flavor to speak of. The "hot peppers" appeared to be jalapeños which I always detest when they're standing in for Thai chilies; but alas, this seems to be the norm in Chicago. (I'm partial to the Thai food in Orlando). At least it was nice to see Thai basil in this dish and the chicken was cooked well. Even though I was not impressed I will mention that my husband said he liked the noodles.

Just recently, I gave my Dad a shout-out because we enjoyed one of his favorite restaurants. So to give my Mom equal spotlight time, I have to review one of her favorite restaurants! I've visited here several times--actually always with my folks. We seem to get the same waitress each time but that's not a bad thing. Service is always timely, friendly and attentive. It's a pretty space, white tablecloths give it a more formal feel but it's still really casual. We always get the pork satay. I was a chicken satay person but Mom knows best--she said the pork satay will have better flavor because it's will hold up better--more tender and juicy--than say white meat in chicken satay. She's totally right! The pork satay has a good flavor, very tender. Add their yummy home-made peanut sauce it just amps up the flavor! For noodles, we pass on the Pad Thai and opt for Pad Khee Mao--wide rice noodles, Thai basil, bell peppers and Thai peppers. You can choose your choice of beef, chicken, shrimp but we always get tofu. Wonderful basil flavor, nice spice and the tofu is cooked perfectly--firm and not mushy. Our other go-to dishes include the House Fried Rice--we choose shrimp. The fried rice is light and not greasy. Nice pieces of tomato, onions and green onions. Topped with a fried egg, you could totally make this a meal in itself. The deep-fried snapper, either spicy or sweet/sour, is a great dish too. Fresh fish and it holds up well to the spicy or sweet/sour sauce. The Thai Iced Coffee is always a must. Very good flavor and because it's a little sweet, it helps cool off the palate when you're enjoying all the spicy food. So listen to your Mom, she'll never steer you wrong!

Bleh. It's the one word I would use to describe this restaurant. Food was not good at all. The pad see ewe I ordered was too oily. Although, they did have good shrimp toast. But, that was probably the highlight of my meal. I gave this place two stars instead of one, only because of their lunch special. Lunch specials are only about 7 dollars, and you get a bunch of food. You get fried rice, pad thai, chicken sate, and an egg roll - in addition to the entree you order. It was very filling - but, I don't know if I would ever fill my stomach with that food again. Also, service was mediocre. One of the things I hate the most when eating in restaurants, is when they don't serve the food all at once. I was in a group of about 15 people, and we all got our food at different times. The curry came out first. Five minutes later, a few more dishes came out. Another five minutes later, another couple dishes. And five minutes later, the last of the dishes. So, one person got their food first, and 15 minutes later the last three people got their food. A fifteen minute difference between meals coming out is not acceptable in my opinion. If you do still end up going here - like I said, the shrimp toast was pretty good. Other than that, don't waste your time.

Thai Little Home is one of the best Thai restaurants that I have been to. The quality and amount of food you get for an amazing price is unheard of. My husband and I make it our weekly dinner spot plus it's BYOB! Everything on their menu is delicious but my all time favorite is their Spicy Basil Tofu! Nothing tops off a meal with Thai dessert. No matter what you choose, you won't go wrong. Fresh and delicious are the only items they put on their menu!

Thai Little Home. A cute little name for a cute little restaurant. Don't ignore this place just because it's in a strip mall! Good things do indeed come in strip mall packages. (Or something like that. I can't remember how the saying goes, so sue me.) The decor is cute but unremarkable, save for the GIGANTIC ALBINO LOBSTER mounted on the wall near the entrance. Scary, but cool. During my visit, we ordered the shrimp toast as an alternative to the usual crab rangoon we often order at other Thai and Chinese restaurants. It was tasty and filling (perhaps a little TOO filling for two people) and accompanied by a sweet cucumber and onion salad. My chicken pad thai was very good, and tasted even better when I reheated the leftovers the next day. My boyfriend's beef pad kee mao was excellent and very spicy. In general, I'm not a huge fan of super-spicy food, but I hate when pad kee mao isn't spicy at all! I really enjoyed Thai Little Home's version. No, this suburban strip mall restaurant isn't a stylish place to "see and be seen," but it does provide good Thai food for affordable prices - and the opportunity to see an enormous dead lobster, to boot! How many restaurants can promise THAT?

  • Angela H.

This place is pretty standard. Thai Little Home has a lot of items on their menu. Some are pretty good, some are not so good. Everything I got was a bit too oily for my taste. But the seasoning is typically right on. I would definitely come back to try out more items on their menu. The thai egg rolls - good, but standard The pork satay - plump and flavorful. the cucumber salad was too sweet and the peanut sauce started to separate and looked kind of gross. wonton soup - DO NOT get this! Not even sure what the filling is made of. fried rice- solid, good seasoning, not too salty, pretty standard.

Authentic Thai food and very good at that! Came here with some co-workers. Had a lunch special choice (pad see ew). It was typical, but I came back with my wife on a separate occasion and that was a lot better. We ordered the papaya salad, which my wife loves. Also ordered a whole fish that was prepared with a variety of veggies. That was excellent. We also had lettuce wraps that is usually ground chicken. Only, upon inspection, it wasn't ground chicken, it was actually great quality (white meat) chicken that was broken and torn to bits. That totally won me over as it was fresh, flavorful and good quality. This place is a hidden gem in an area in which it can be hard to find good Thai.

  • Shelly M.

My boyfriend and I recently checked this place out for the first time. The prices are reasonable. We ordered the Thai calamari which was very good, but not worth the price considering the portion size was tiny. The beef pad see ew was good. The Penang curry was good but, spicier than I thought. Overall, a decent Thai restaurant.

  • Josh C.

Their lunch specials are super tasty, great serving sizes and inexpensive ($7)! This place is a little jewel nestled in an ordinary-looking strip mall. My favorite has to be the Penang Curry...Delicious! The only thing as good (or maybe better) than their food, is the service that you can expect to receive from their polite, friendly staff!

I ought to write two reviews here, one for me and one for my wife. I love the food, she doesn't care for it. The pad thai always seems undercooked (the noodles are white, not brown). I, on the other hand, just love the beef with oyster sauce from this place. I remember it from it's old location in the city. Everybody at banker's Life and Casualty used to swear by it.

My family and I have been going to this place since it was in its original location 30 years ago (though that was before I was born). You can tell that the restaurant is owned and operated by family, and they have always treated us like we were a part of it. The food is great, especially given the prices. I would recommend the Chicken with Ginger and the beef Kang Nua.

  • FSV C.

Love this place! I always ask for the Garlic chicken mixed with Ginger and it is SO yummy! My husband's a picky eater and he loves everything he's tried! (Penang curry is his absolute favorite!) I'm not even a huge egg roll fan but I love the ones from here! Try their lunch special too - Huge amount of food for under $7! Definitely give them a try!

  • Emily C.

This place is not fancy, but the food is good. I love their tom kha kai soup. It's not too sweet like some places.... it's just right. With a couple appetizers, it makes for a really good, reasonably priced meal for 2 people. My other favorite thing there is the coconut ice cream. It is unreal!

  • Stevie V.

Drove past this place thousands of time and finally stopped in with the fam. Food was delicious. Eggrolls were unreal. Pad Thai and Penang curry were great as well. We also love places that offer byob which this did. Service was ok. A lot of byob places still open wine bottles for you which the didn't and the waitress didn't come to us once to see if we needed anything. Overall was a great place. Enjoy

  • Kevin S.

In the grand scheme of Thai restaurants, this place would probably get a 3 star rating. However, the fact that it's so close to where I live earns it an extra star. The Thai egg rolls nice, hot, and oily. The red curry is good but could use some extra vegetables. The fried rices are decent but nothing special. Carry-out service is friendly and quick. I can order something and pick it up in 10-15 mins, which is great!

Most of the food is pretty bland, and the tofu tastes like a wet sponge. The curry was pretty watery. The service was excellent, though! As was the Thai kalamari.

this place was ok, Americanized Thai food for the most part, but they can make some things that aren't on the menu. nothing really stood out, but nothing was bad either. it is a BYOB place so make sure to bring some booze for dinner!

I love this thai restaurant. I miss that it is no longer in Albany Park, when my family and I needed a cheap and savory buffet to eat at it was always there... Gladly this place is family owned and is still open in Arlington Heights. I love their chicken satay, pad thai, fish cakes, penang curry chicken, and egg drop soup. The lunch buffet is what you should indulge in if you get the chance! It's cheap, it tastes good, and it reminds me of my childhood.

I love this place! My boyfriend and I come here for lunch any chance we get. The lunch special is so cheap and comes with tons of food. I love their red curry but everything I've had there is delish! I just wished they delivered..

great place for lunch but sadly you'll probably have a food coma afterwards due to the large portions. i got the red curry lunch special that comes with a egg roll, chicken satay, a bit of the pad thai and fried rice on top of a what you chose (from the lunch special list) all for $7. The red curry and chicken satay were pretty good. The pad thai was plain and not very flavorful, same with the fried rice which i asked them to replace with white rice. A coworker got crab rangoons which were surprisingly very good and not greasy. Next time i'm definitely going to try the pad see eew since it looked pretty good and it's with chinese broccoli.

  • Christine P.

PRICE: Just average. Ordered the crab rangoon apps for $5 and they were the smallest crab rangoons I've ever seen. The other stuff on their menu is about 7-9 bucks. FOOD: I've definitely had better thai food. Everything seemed so bland. The pad thai was the palest pad thai I've ever seen and I had to load on the hot sauce to make it taste like anything. The bbq pork fried rice needed more soy sauce, which we added and it tasted a little better. Portions were pretty decent though. PARKING: Ample parking in the lot. Would I ever go back? Probably not. Only reason we went there was cuz it was the only thai place open on Labor Day and my bf and I were craving thai for some reason. Seeing all the news paper articles and awards in the entrance, we expected much better...

Love it, love it, love it!! The food is fantastic- fresh and tasty. My favorites: Fresh spring rolls Chicken Satay Chicken with Basil Pad Thai I usually get carry out. I have used this restaurant for a couple of large dinner parties. They never disappoint. If you decide to dine at the restaurant, you will find a charming decor with beautiful Thai artwork. Then there is an added bonus: BYOB!!!!

We have enjoyed Thai Little Home Cafe since the mid-80's and were pleased to have them move to Arlington Heights. Their red snapper with sweet hot sauce will keep us coming back FOREVER! No one does it like Thai Little Home! It can be spicy but they will adjust it to your taste level if you ask. The panang was fantastic but I think the recipe changes a bit depending on who is back there cooking. It seems to be getting back to the old tasty standard. We are happy to keep coming back.

Food that fills you up. Very hit or miss with the dishes, mostly miss. The portion size is good, although it is mostly noodles and/or rice. We had the pad thai, green curry, basil fried rice, egg rolls, and tom yum soup. The pad thai was so bad we did not even eat it. It was literally plain rice noodles with some sugar and crushed peanuts on it. No veggies at all, and i mean NONE, no color to anything, and no taste. If we had been in the restaurant we would have returned it. The green curry was much better. Tasty and nicely spiced. And it had vegetables in it, like it should. The basil rice was OK. More like chinese fried rice, minus any veggies again. Maybe they ran out of vegetables or something that day. the tom yum was probably the best dish. Good amount of chicken and straw mushrooms(which is rare since most places only use button), and a nice flavorful broth. I was happy with my soup. The egg rolls were overcooked, and were dark brown. They shriveled up with the overcooking, and so were not good at all. I had high hopes for this place with the good reviews, but either i came here on an off day or the place has gone downhill. Would not go back. Oh, and we paid ~40 for the above. Prices were decent, except for the $7 tom yum! Will not be going back.

I have been going to this restaurant for literally my entire life (when it was at its former location on the North Side), and my parents have been going since before I was born. For authentic, tasty Thai food, Thai little home cannot be beat. I recommend the pork satay, as well as the pad thai. Unlike may other Thai restaurants, the pad thai is light and flavorful, the the flavor is not from ketchup! The pad see ew is also delicious, and the beef panang is to die for and different than any other beef panang I've tasted. The red snapper is also a great (and spicy!!) option.

Great place for lunch! $6.99 and you get this huge 'sampler' type plate of food. Spring roll, pad thai, rice, your order, chicken satay and cucumber salad....YUM!

Really really like Thai Little Home. I had some very tasty food for dinner. There was a group of six of us. We had crab rangoon, spring rolls and chicken satay to start. After the first bite I was in heaven. The size of each rangoon is small, but you get a nice size serving. The chicken satay was cooked to perfection. The peanut sauce is probably a highlight of any Thai meal for me Thai Little Home has good peanut sauce. The spring rolls were nice and cool. We shared BBQ pork fried rice, panang curry, pad Thai with shrimp, Pad Thai with tofu and pad woon sen. I loved it all! It was very very tasty. My only possible complaint was that the tofu was slightly overcooked. I mean only slightly and this would be very nit picky. BYOB is always a great option. The price of our meal was truly affordable too.

Hidden Gem...sorta. It's not really hidden but it is really easy to miss. I live in the area and drove past the restaurant many times without noticing it. It is located on a small strip mall on the north side of Golf Road east of Aldi and west of Lover's Lane. I have to say I am very impressed with the 3 dishes I've tasted so far and they were all generously portioned and reasonably priced. I have moaned about the lack of good Thai restaurants near my home but now the moaning is over. I will definitely be a return customer.

Just OK. Ate there because, at the time, it was the only nearby thai restaurant. Brought friends who had never had thai. Too bad, because it really wasn't all that good. The bright fresh flavors you expect from Thai food just weren't there. It just didn't taste good. We'll take our friends out for Thai again... just elsewhere.

Try Thai Little House for a thai smogasbord-licious lunch. Thai Little House is one of the 3 thai places in heavy rotation for my coworkers and me. When our offices moved near here last fall, we went off in search of new thai places. We refer to this place as "smorgasbord" thai because of the offerings in the lunch special. Every lunch plate comes with a little cucumber salad in some sweet, clear sauce along with an egg roll, fried rice, pad thai noodles AND a curried chicken satay thingy with peanut sauce. This my friends, is IN ADDITION, to your luncheon entree. I usually get Pad Kee Mao -- so I can judge it against the competitors. The Pad Kee Mao here is good, nice and basil-y. Not as many good veggies as other nearby thai places, but decent. Good tofu, too. I've also had the Pad see ewe and found it to be tasty. My coworkers get either the pad thai or the cashew chicken -- and they've found them to be delicious. The thing we like best about this place is that it's fairly quick for lunch. Food is always consistent and good and hot. When you're REALLY hungry, there is a LOT of food here. However, I've never been hungry enough to venture into that curried chicken satay. The bright yellow color puts me off. I'm told it's okay, though... If you can't picture where this place is located, it's just a couple of storefronts east of Lover's Lane on Golf Road. :-) Tip: It's closed on Wednesdays...

I've visited the new location a couple of times, as they are in the burbs and haven't gone as I would love to. I've dined at this place and always order carry out for the next day cravings. I love this place, we were sad to see them leave Chicago in Albany Park but are glad they satisfy our Thai taste. The food is always fresh and price is reasonable. We'll continue going.

Went in to try the lunch special, ordered Red curry with tofu. The curry was watery, had no taste , is for sure the worst curry I've ever had! The lunch plate had several sides which included, egg rolls, pad thai ( the worst i've ever had), cucumbers (stale n sour). Not going back again!!

i would give it 4 1/2 stars. the service was okay, nothing spectacular but they were attentive. we ordered the deep fried whole snapper with pepper sauce, shrimp penang curry and pad ke mao...the fish is amazing and the penang curry is outstanding. the noodles were a little less flavorful, so i would not recommend them. everyone should try the fish..its amazing. will definitely go back again.

My wife and I went for takeout and we were pleasantly suprised. It was very good. We like everything spicy and the spice was hot and had good flavor. The only reason I give it 4 and not 5 stars is the portions were smaller then I thought they should be.

    (3)

Yum!

Amazing food, service, and atmosphere. I promise you that you will not leave disappointed. I drive 45min to eat at this place and we go at least once a week! Go and enjoy

This is one of the best Thai restaurants I have ever been too! Everything is good especially the Pad Thai and the Tom Yum Soup with the seafood. The prices are great and the fact that it is BYOB helps too. I highly recommend this little gem in Arlington Heights.

Really good, went here on a whim a few weeks ago. Everything was perfect. We eat a lot of Thai, and have just added a new favorite close to home. Perfect place for dinner or lunch or takeout.

Pot stickers were good. Red Curry was good, but quite spicy.. Its also BYOB which is a plus!

  • David M.

No corkage fee for BYOB !!! The food is great. I will come back soon :-)

    (5)

    (4)
  • Lizzy S.

Most of the food is pretty bland, and the tofu tastes like a wet sponge. The curry was pretty watery. The service was excellent, though! As was the Thai kalamari.

    (2)
  • Derek C.

this place was ok, Americanized Thai food for the most part, but they can make some things that aren't on the menu. nothing really stood out, but nothing was bad either. it is a BYOB place so make sure to bring some booze for dinner!

  • Leonor S.

I love this place! My boyfriend and I come here for lunch any chance we get. The lunch special is so cheap and comes with tons of food. I love their red curry but everything I've had there is delish! I just wished they delivered..

  • Rebecca Huicha K.

great place for lunch but sadly you'll probably have a food coma afterwards due to the large portions. i got the red curry lunch special that comes with a egg roll, chicken satay, a bit of the pad thai and fried rice on top of a what you chose (from the lunch special list) all for $7.

Authentic thai food at reasonable prices in nicely decorated environment. A must try!

  • shi d.

i would give it 4 1/2 stars. the service was okay, nothing spectacular but they were attentive. we ordered the deep fried whole snapper with pepper sauce, shrimp penang curry and pad ke mao...the fish is amazing and the penang curry is outstanding. the noodles were a little less flavorful, so i would not recommend them. everyone should try the fish..its amazing. will definitely go back again.

So glad I found this place after it closed in Chicago. I grew up eating at this place so they set my standard for Thai food. Family owned and the nicest friendliest people ever. And their shrimp fried rice is perfect. Along with their chicken satay, and fish cakes!

  • Micheal M.

The staff were friendly but had very little personality. The place was empty @ 7pm on a Tuesday night. Had the wonton soup and yellow curry chicken. I would give the wonton soup 3 out of 10. The yellow chicken curry 8 out of 10. Would I come back, no !!!

Prices incredibly reasonable Love this place, will be back next time in Chicago
